Kristin Denault | BSW, MSW, RSW

Kristin is a Registered Social Worker with over twenty-five years of experience working across social services, leadership, private practice, and complex institutional systems.

She has lived and worked in Muskoka for more than two decades. Before moving into private practice, her career included extensive work in child welfare, including over ten years in management and senior leadership roles. That work required sustained judgment under pressure, careful navigation of risk, and the ability to think clearly in environments where decisions carried real consequences.

This background continues to shape her clinical work.

Kristin works best with people who are navigating professional strain, relationship tension, or persistent exhaustion while continuing to function at a high level. They are not looking for dramatic interventions. They are looking for clarity.

Her approach is steady, structured, and grounded. She listens carefully, asks direct questions, and helps identify what is underneath surface concerns, things like emotional patterns, role expectations, institutional pressures, and unspoken assumptions.

Kristin holds a Bachelor of Arts in History, a Bachelor of Commerce, a Bachelor of Social Work, and a Master of Social Work. She is currently completing her doctorate in social work.

Her academic and professional work reflects a long-standing engagement with systems, governance, decision-making, and organizational culture. She has led and supervised teams across disciplines and understands the isolation that can accompany increasing responsibility.

Her clinical work draws from relational, narrative, trauma-responsive, and systems-informed approaches. She emphasizes coherence and accountability over technique-driven intervention.

Kristin has called Muskoka home for over twenty years. While completing doctoral studies in Montreal, she continues to maintain strong ties to the region and will be offering in-person sessions in Huntsville beginning May 2026.
