Therapy is personal and focuses on your experience and your wellbeing. Clinical supervision is a professional service for Registered Social Workers, focused on clinical practice, professional judgment, and the effect of the work on the clinician. Case-focused supervision is a shorter format concentrating on specific clinical material. Leadership and systems consultation is a professional service for people in senior roles, focused on organizational situations and decisions. Each is structured differently and each does a different job.

Registered Social Workers registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, whether employed by an organization or working in private practice. Supervision is organized around clinical practice, professional judgment, and the ethical questions the work raises. A written supervision agreement is used. Kristin does not provide supervision to Registered Psychotherapists, who have supervision requirements set by their own College.

No. It is a structured, confidential space to think through complex professional situations involving responsibility, ethics, or organizational systems, with someone who has worked at a senior level inside those systems.

Yes. In-person sessions take place at 1 Crescent Road, Suite 209, in Huntsville. Virtual sessions are available anywhere in Ontario, and you can move between the two. 

Frequency is decided together and depends on what you are working on and what is sustainable. Some people come weekly, some every few weeks, and some for a defined period before stopping.

Receipts are provided for services delivered by a Registered Social Worker. Many extended health plans cover social work services. Coverage varies, so check with your own plan about what they reimburse.

A minimum of 24 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations and missed appointments may be charged at the full session fee.

Confidentiality is maintained in line with professional and legal requirements. The limits, including situations involving risk of harm and legal obligations, are explained at the start of the work. Smokey Rock Counselling uses Jane practice management software.
