Exhaustion & Burnout, Career Dissatisfaction, Relationship Strain

A steady, structured space to think clearly when work, relationships, or responsibility start to feel heavy.
Individual therapy offers space to slow down and understand what may be contributing to persistent exhaustion, career strain, or tension in important relationships. Rather than rushing toward decisions, the work begins with clarity, understanding the situation in context and identifying what feels possible to address next.
Many people reach out when something has shifted. A promotion doesn’t come through. A relationship feels more distant. Fatigue lingers despite rest. The situation may not look dramatic from the outside, but internally it feels unsettled or unresolved.
The work begins with careful listening. In the first phase of therapy, we focus on understanding what’s underneath the surface concerns: emotional patterns, role expectations, and systemic pressures shaping your experience. Attention is given to meaning, impact, and what feels realistic to address.
People often seek therapy after coping for a long time and realizing something feels unsustainable. That might look like ongoing exhaustion, repeated professional disappointment, relationship strain without clear resolution, or a persistent sense that you’re carrying more than you can process.
Kristin works primarily with adults in midlife and beyond. Many of the people she sees are thoughtful and responsible, and often hold high expectations for themselves. Her approach is grounded, collaborative, and practical. She listens carefully, reflects what she’s hearing, and helps people understand their experience without over-pathologizing.
Sometimes therapy is about change. Sometimes it’s about recognizing that a situation is genuinely difficult, unfair, or painful, and that your response makes sense. Both can be true at the same time.
If you’re in Ontario and considering therapy, you’re welcome to book a 30-minute consultation to discuss what you’re looking for and whether this approach feels like a fit.
Kristin also provides clinical supervision and consultation for social workers, therapists, and professionals working in complex systems. This work offers a structured space to think clearly about clinical cases, ethical questions, leadership challenges, and the personal impact of high-responsibility roles.
